  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Sounds like that may be the culprit then as only one function isn't functioning. I like to remove all the old (EU lead free) solder with a solder-sucker first then use some proper 60/40 tin/lead solder to make the joint again.

YAY it works! Thanks Laird.

I reflowed all the joints with the only solder I had (I must buy a new soldering station as I only have a crappy basic one) and bolted it back in and all the vent direction controls work fine now, big difference. I think the connection had been a bit dodgy for a while as we didn't seem to get much flow sometimes but other times it would be fine.

All 100% now!!
