The price seems a bit high. Compared to other models, it's likely you're paying more for the engine, and given the economy and auto box, it's questionable whether that's worth paying a premium for. The AWD is definitely worth paying for, although in my opinion the combination of AWD, auto gearbox and petrol don't make it seem worth £7.7k - but that is only my opinion and I worry about fuel economy.

If you want AWD, have you looked at XV70s in that price range, e.g. with a D5 ? Personally I think the V70 looks nicer than the XC70, which makes this T6 a very nice wolf in sheep's clothing, and worth more than the equivalent spec XC70. It just seems a lot to pay for something that will be expensive to run.
The £7.7k is all down to what they might offer on my 2003 S80, 55k, fsh, full cam belt service at 29k 2.5 years ago and in mint condition inside and very good outside, if I could get close to £5k on the trade in I'll be more than interested.

Maybe I just got a bargain with mine, or prices have gone up a bit
I'll think about it for the rest of the week, if it's still there Friday I'll give them a call.

Maybe in the UK (?) but diesel version P3 v70 AWD was definitely available on the Continent. Only D4 181hp with 2.4 ltr 5-cyl motor though.

I think also there might have been a D5 AWD around 2008/09, but only with auto box.

Sounds like a fabulous car but I’d be amazed if they offered you more than £1500 as a trade in.

Yes I was thinking £1500- £1800 for my S80 it is in good nick it's all down to how firm the £7.7K is, as mentioned previously there's not many people who would want them and how much do you think they paid for it if it was a trade in to them, I'll bet the poor seller was sure he had 5 fingers on his right hand and a nice watch on his wrist when he shook on the deal

Definitely was a UK V70 D5 AWD:

But probably about as rare as the T6...

Hmm £5K for the 2010 152K D5 to £7.7K for the 77K 2008 T6 does that make the T6 realistically priced or is the D5 over the top, I'd be happy with the D5 but not at 152K.

Still undecided.

Smile I have a V70 T6 SE Lux

Hello,

Bought mine last year for £7500. 83k miles, 2010 model. A few things needed doing but not much. Most imminent is probably front discs which are almost worn out I understand.

Really pleased with the car. Last summer when doing a few longish trips averaged about 26mpg, then by the end of winter with just local trips in rural Glos., down to about 23mpg. To me she goes like a rocket and seems fine, I hope it continues! You see a lot of oldish XC70s about so the AWD cannot too often be a cause for concern I think.

Hi Andy

The price you paid for a 2010 model suggests that the 2008 with similar mileage is a bit optimistic then maybe £6.5 to £7K seams a more realistic starting point which with a trade in of my S80 would hopefully bring me to my target price of the low £5k ish point.

Then again it will probably be gone by the time I make my mind up

Still undecided
