Having just joined the OC I hope to make it to this, provided no emergencies come up at work.
Hopefully see you there.

Best Regards

Sorry, Scott and Bob, you are both going to miss the October meet, hope your hip operation goes ok Bob, and by the way, the heater unit works well, and I was glad to see, at Crieff, that you are looking after GKM, Scott.
Hope to see you both soon.
Kevin.

Any chance you could send the flapjacks please?

Signed.

Mustapha Guzzle.

Sorry you can't get there - Aberdeen is not really that bad.

Unfortunately, work rears it's ugly head this weekend so I won't make it. Hope it goes well, hopefully I'll make the next one.

Hello again!

I wondered the other day "what happens at a Volvo meet?" so I've been having a read through threads for other meets and all I could really find was photos and cake.

A friend reckons there'll be a best car competition but I don't think so, the meets seem too frequent for that. Am I right?

Cake is good but what else goes on? Do people buy/sell/swap parts? Go for a group drive?

I need a few bits and don't know where to get them from so was gonna ask people at the meet if they knew.

A Volvo convoy would be cool.

I can't bake but I'll buy some home made cake and bring that/them.

Nice one.

Basic monthly section meetings are just a 'meet' held at various places, there are no 'best car competitions', if you need advice/parts they are good places to obtain both, provided you have put up a 'wanted' post prior to the meeting. It does no harm to bring along any unwanted items you may have to sell/exchange/donate to fellow members, just let people know you have the parts with you.
We had a short 'convoy' at one of the meetings earlier in the year, hope to plan a meet in the spring that we can meet up and have a reasonable run, maybe have a BBQ, and if enough cars turn up we could have some form of 'Best Kept Volvo' competition.
Cakes/tablet etc are not compulsory, but if someone brings them along, it would be rude to refuse them.
Cheers,
Kevin.
