Leif - someone has already requested part of the aerial, but I don't think it's the bit you're asking about....in which case, I'm sure you can have it! Just to be clear, is it the "mast" itself you're looking for?

Hi James.

I need the bits that hold the battery down. Mine are missing. Also a left-hand (near-side) door mirror. I'd like to fit round headlamps to this too - don't know which yours has.

Hi Ashley,

Battery clamp bits shouldn't be a problem. The mirrors are manual, but they're certainly available. 1981 onwards all had the same rectangular headlights (for the European market, at least), but I do have a set of both the early square and rectangular headlights if they're of any interest...?

Ok folks, the 240 goes to the great dealership in the sky. I will send out some PMs in a few minutes to the people who are waiting to hear from me regarding various parts...but any more for any more? Nearly your last chance!

Items I've already removed that people haven't asked for, but I figured were well worth removing are the autobox (the best AW71 I've driven, despite the 208k miles) and the rear (GLT) leather seats in great condition. The fronts have already gone to a good home. Any interest in these items?

Oh...in other news...I'm cutting out the windscreen surround for my 164. Haha...that's a fun job. They made 240s out of solid stuff, didn't they? The A pillar / post has a ton of metal in it.

I'll probably salvage the front spoiler too, if anyone wants it.

The 240 went to the great dealership in the sky on Saturday...but there wasn't much useful left on it.

I've still got the rear shocks (essentially brand new), the rear seats (leather, from a GLT), the autobox (best AW71 I've driven, despite the mileage), and the front spoiler. Any interest?

hi; ive got a 240 torslanda scrapping; its blue interior but the dash is all ok and it has got the speaker coversthe mesh needs reglueing to the cover but otherwise they are ok.

Minty was looking for the speaker covers, so that might well be useful for him. Just be careful when removing them...they're very delicate!
