Plugs are a big issue with LPG.

Ones to avoid include any of the multipoint style - LPG does not like this in my experience.

My LPG conversion has now done 150,000 miles, and in that time I've tried many different plugs.

Bosch superplus I've found to be consistently good, NGK, Champion and Volvo plugs for me have quickly deteriorated.

At the moment for the first time I'm running on Denso plugs.

In broad terms I'd say get bog standard single point plugs of whatever make, get them from Andrew Page Motor Factors (or similar) at around £1.50 each, and expect them to last bewteen 7k and 10k miles. Set the gap perhaps 0.1mm less than the book.

You'll know when the plugs get tired because you'll start getting an intermittent misfire. At £7.50 a set it isn't worth bothering to clean and regap them. LPG is heavy on plugs, and soon lets you know once things start to deteriorate. I have also tried a cooler grade of plug, but have since reverted back to the specified grade.

Cheers

Jack

Check the BRC conversion - great without a towbar thread. If anything proves classicswede is the expert - this will!

John.
