Default ele288...

Hi, ele288 - and thanks for the private message.

Unfortunately, until I have posted 30 times, I cannot respond to you (or anyone else) "privately" 🙄

In answer to your 'generic' messages, sent this morning, no, there is no "globe" icon on my centre console - I'm attaching a photo of it here so you can see exactly what buttons there are and how they're labelled.

My local Volvo dealer supplied and uploaded the very latest UK software for the SatNav (2020 - I was told that was the last), so that's as up-to-date as it can be as far as I'm aware.

Japan may have a few extra settings, but it also has less too 😕

Thanks again - hope you can see the photos...

Hi All (sorry for the thread revive)

I have also imported an early 2015 V40CC T5 from Japan and need to update the maps. The car currently has the Japanese maps loaded but all the other settings have been changed to english. Been to the dealers and they say it cannot be done. Iv'e had a look at changing the region of the car on the D5T5 site but they only mention it being done to the Sensus Connect system. Is there any workaround?

Replace the unit for eu, your car shouldn't have protection on. They are on ebay from 60 to 100. Make sure it's the one with sat. Connect has different plug

Did you manage to get sorted. I am in the middle of importing an early 2014 V40 from Japan.
