Default replace the distributor or the whole system?

Got the usual problem with an S60 Bifuel - intermittent stalling on lpg. So the question is, do I fit a new distributor £894 inc vat or replace the whole system £1100 ?

Default LPG Distributor

It won't cost you THAT much. See previous threads via Search index on this site -= LPG section.

Had mine done last year - £244.61p at Autogas 2000 Thirsk. Us Northern gasmen swear by John at that concern.

Mine now going like a proverbial dream and will be going up Hallingdal to Geilo on it's annual hols next month! Bliss & LPG is similar price to UK!

I could never pay £800 for sucha simple device , see how much the same thing is from a citroen dealer , they were used in Xantia models factory fitted . But Citroen parts prices are usualy more than Volvo , Try and obtain one from an independant LPG installer too .

Are you sure it IS the distributor? The LPG spring loaded inlet valve on the end of the brass inlet pipe going into the evaporator sticks sometimes , just needs a clean to free off .

It can do , but not so much lately , i would say a one in 4 chance of cleaning working ..The problem seems to be with the motor on top , that alone was £300 so not economic to change just that .

£300 just for the motor. divide that by six and you have the aprox price to the trade for one from the after market LPG supliers

sometimes i think volvo price some of their parts as not to sell for some reason . Some parts for older cars are so extortionate that they will never sell them . So why stock them at all .. On the other hand i just bought 4 front suspension tie bar bushes for a 300 for £12 so cant complain at that . totaly inconsistant..
