Exclamation Corner Garage Volvo - lancashire

Hi all been a while since I posted but I have still been kept intrigued by the threads and answers on here. I'm probably asking this in the wrong section but I wanted to know if any had any personal experience of corner garage volvo in lancashire as service time is upon me already...and it will be the first time I will not have used a main dealer.

Comments, thoughts...much appreciated...??

Thanks!

I've never used them, I take both of our Volvo's to my local independant garage. Broadway in Blackpool. 15 minutes walk for me!
Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Corner Garage seems to be a smallish garage, his car prices seem a bit dear.
If you live in Lancashire, there is a Volvo Specialist in St. Annes called Jump Leads.
Nice chap, sells cars and parts as well.
I have dealt with him once or twice, a bit far away for me.
Hope this helps.

The previous owner of my T4 had a couple ot services done there a few years ago and I saw a breakdown of charges on the receipts...I thought they were quite reasonable!

I've just had my car MOT'd (and preped for the MOT) by Corner Garage.

Total bill?
£180ish

That included 1x MOT
1x RR Brake Caliper
Pads for above Caliper
Fitting of 2 new headlights (I supplied them)

All in all pretty reasonable, given I only booked it in yesterday evening at 430!!! Dropped it in this morning at 9am, had a call at lunch to say that it needed the caliper doing and they'd try to get it sorted for me by 430pm... It was, I picked my car up and had a chat with the mechanic who diagnosed why my coolant was going down (heater Matrix)

I use them for odd jobs, and also use Jump Leads... it's a case of whoever can fit my car in gets the business.

Jump Leads? A long way from Blackpool?! I rode from Corner Garage to Stanley Park today, and back again (via Clifton Road) today to drop off and pick my car up!!! Jump Leads would have been a piece of cake

would not trust these idiots to change my oil.was in for a full day last june because was leaking coolant but scratched their heads it took a baker to tell me to change the expansion tank cap to sort it. more important I had engine management light on a couple of times which they cleared and told me if it comes on again to live with it. their advice cost me two grand for a .new cylinder head.

I use Jump Leads for both mine and the Missus' Volvo's. Brian is one of the most honest mechanics I've ever met and knows his Volvo's well. A cyclist smashed into the rear of my girlfriends V40 (the car was parked at the time) and shattered the rear offside light. This was really inconvenient as it was about to go into for it's MOT. Brian at Jump Leads patched it up using coloured tape on the glass, thus letting it pass it's MOT. He done a really good job as well. You can't tell from a distance that the light has been taped

Go to Brian at Jump Leads , he worked for Akeds as foreman for many years , before going it alone . He is a genuinely nice man & very fair with his prices and i have yet to hear one person say anything bad about him or the lads he employs .

I can only tell you what i know , but have heard things about corner that i would never commit to being read , as i could imagine the fallout that would follow . I could however point you in the direction of one very very unhappy customer of theirs
