Question 2007 C30 - Floppy Rear Wiper Arm

Hi there,

The rear wiper arm on my 2007 C30 has stopped working and has come loose, spending most of its time hanging down over the rear bumper.

Does anyone know if this can be fixed easily or if its a new wiper arm job?

If anything like mine the metal locking ring that is moulded
into the actual abs plastic arm which holds it to the motor spindle may have rusted and siezed which on mine stopped arm moving but the motor turned. I cured mine with the wheelie bin until new one from Volvo arrives on Tuesday I think. 😢

Thanks for that

Yeah, I've taken it all to bits and had a good look at it. It appears that the large nut that sits on the motor spindle has completely corroded. The wiper arm that slots over the nut seems to have cracked and is no longer held in place by the nut (hence the floppiness). To make matters worse, the cracked wiper arm sliding around the nut has completely rounded it off giving me nothing to grip onto when trying to remove it.

The rusted nut seems to be completely seized on and I can't budge it at all

I've got a nice new wiper arm and wiper blade but does that mean a completely new wiper motor assembly is needed too?
