If there are only two things I learned from this forum when replacing my XC60, they were:

S90’s on factory order take about 9 months to turn up.
XC90’s have too much tyre noise. (Although I believe this is better now?)

Hence I have a V90 which took about 12 weeks built to order.

Finally! My S90 is at the dealer!

Called the dealer and they are prioritising it to be delivered to me on Friday (assuming it passes the PDI which is being done today).

Seems like now they have the car they are doing what they can to help me, which is great.

Hope the car is good!

Finally got delivered this morning. All good so far, although I haven't managed to get OnCall setup as the dealer says there's a problem with the system and the PINs are not being sent out automatically.

Went for a quick spin. Feels good so far. Comfortable cruiser! Happy

On Call is working ok for me (or it was this morning at least...) - Give me a call on 01604 320693 if you want me to give it a try.

Finally here after 9 months waiting and several epic screw ups along the way. Hoping I can arrange collection next weekend. It better be worth the wait.

Thanks for the kind offer! All working now - must have been a blip. I got the email and OnCall is all set up.

What are the things to look out for and to double check have been done when I collect? I read things about the data SIM and the On Call/App, but is there anything else I should be checking and making sure is done before driving away?

The dealer has not been a shining beacon of good service to date, so want to be on the ball and on top of it.

I'm fairly picky but here's what I do:

1. Ask to see the PDI checklist and ensure everything is ticked off.
2. Check the vehicle VERY carefully, inside and out. It should be in perfect condition; check panel gaps, check the paintwork for 'orange peel' and any marks.
3. A good dealer will have a standard handover process which should include going over controls etc with you. Make sure everything works. Don't be rushed and ask any questions about how things work.

Enjoy your new car!
