  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Default Volvo On Call service required

Second time this has happened - on call has stopped working in car and the app shows constantly that the car is in use and therefore all internet connection has stopped working so no spotify, driving journal etc
anyone keep having this problem?
service booked for 3 weeks time

Yep, had this problem the other week.

It's a software problem. According to the dealer it was solved by two software upgrades.

TBH I'm not convinced about the 'upgrade' part. I suspect it was re-installing the software that fixed it.

has it happened to you before?
its almost like the big updates they release every couple of months throw out the systems for cars not updated as iv not had the November 2019 update an now this happens. i missed the update last year an my on call systems went down until it was updated

No, this was the first and so far only occasion that this has occurred.

Personally I don't think it's the software updates causing this, otherwise we would see it reported a lot more on the forum.

This has now happened to me too. Since 1st Jan, Volvo On Call app says "Car in Use", and the vehicle trip log shows no entries after 1st Jan. Also, the in-car SIM seems to have very poor connectivity all of a sudden. Frequently showing no bars, occasionally comes back to life, then goes again.

Was wondering whether the modem was packing up, but reading these posts it sounds like I might also need a software update.

The Dashboard says "Volvo On Call Service Required" whenever you turn the car on.

How did your car get on yesterday? Ours is booked in next week, and i'm hoping you are going to tell me it was something simple :-)
