Question update

just to update for those not clear there is nothing wrong with the battery or the car it starts and runs! it did not have a fault with the brakes before the battery lost charge through lack of use ,the alarm did go off a couple of times which I put down to the system letting me know that the battery was dying
I could use the car if I had to its just the fact that a warning message says brake fault and the indicator/alarm lights are illuminated as soon as battery is connected up thanks to all who read my post

all you can do is see what the fault codes indicate

Given the age of the car, the alarm siren module may be dying which can cause a parasitic drain and strange alarm/indicator behaviour.
Low system voltage can then in turn create additional warnings which are seemingly unrelated.

I'd charge the battery again, clear the codes with a decent code reader and monitor the battery voltage at rest, during cranking and out on the road.
If all the above appeared to be back to normal, I'd then do a standby current drain test to see if something is draining the battery prematurely.

They're all simple enough checks so hopefully you can get assistance and shed some light on the problem.

Good luck.

With the MND you mention I'm not sure how much you want to do or can do, but have you checked the brakes over to be sure there isn't an actual problem? It may have been OK when you parked it up but if it has stood long enough to drain the battery there is the possibility of leaks, corrosion, wiring attack by small critters, etc. even if the brakes do actually work there may be a sensor type issue.

Good luck.
Do you know if removing the Alarm fuse will stop the "parasitc drain" of the battery or even unplugging the Siren? Thanks and regards. Paul

Removing the fuse will stop the drain if that is the cause of the drain. If you're unable to get a more methodical diagnosis done, then pulling the fuse based on a guess might be worth trying.
