Default How low is your 440/460/480?

My suspension on my car is nearly 110,000 miles old and has done well over the last 10 and half or so years.

Its very soft now.

I could buy some new dampers.

But I think Ill go the whole hog and buy new standard or uprated dampers and lowered springs.

What sort of kits are about?

I can only see a Blistein one which lowers eithet 30mm or 40mm for £260 and £230 respectivly inc dampers/springs.

Can you post pics of your lowered cars with what you have done ie, wheels/suspension wise etc.

Thanks.

Here's a thread about lowering a 480 which you may find interesting. It's from the 480-europe forum:

ive lowered mine by 40mm but now that its bedded in its more like 45mm lol cant even put my hand up in the wheel arch also if i carry more than 2passengers then i have scrubage issues. it depends how much you use the car and what you use it for, if you still take people out in it the go for 35s if not well then get it low as possible lol. by the way £200+??? i only payed £20 for a set of brand new 40mm springs hahahahha was off fleabay gd luck!!!

p.s eurocarparts do springs for £80-90

Hi kelly,

Id want to replace the shocks/dampers on mine as they are very soft lol.

Lowering it with springs only would well and truly finish her off!

Do you have any pictures of your lowered?

Snap and snap.

It's a shame it's so difficult to get aftermarket suspension that doesn't lower the car. Not everyone want to burn round Sainsbury's carparks after hours with the bass thumping.

i sometimes regret lowering my car you get airbourne everytime you hit a speedbump to fast and not only that it feels like your going to snap the car or break something everytime you hit one or even a pot hole lol. if your going all the way with dampers n all them i dont think you'll have any suspension at all lol youd be better off welding a scaffold pole in place hahha. i only have springs and its a pain drivin down a straight round lol. but then again your roads may be better than mine haha...
