Red face Save a faithful V70 D5 SE companion from the auction!

Hi everyone.

I'm getting an unbeatable deal on a V60, which leaves my beloved V70 destined for part exchange this Friday (9th July) - I'D LOVE IT IF IT COULD GO TO SOMEONE WHO COULD ENJOY IT! JUST MATCH THE £800 THE DEALHER IS OFFERING

She's been in the family from new, first as my Dads company car in 06, then he bought it when he changed jobs, and I've had it since about 2013. Done 198k, but it is really mainly motorway (regular trips to Doncaster in her youth, and I now commute Southampton -> Basingstoke). Got a few niggles (off the top of my head, the left wing mirror doesnt tilt up and down, and passenger sun visor lights are intermittent), but nothing that stops it being an enjoyable everyday car.

185hp D5 (DPF all fitted and working as Volvo intended)
Full leather with heated front seats
Dual zone climate (AC works perfectly)
Auto wipers
Surround sound
Electric drivers seat with memory
Power folding mirrors

Last few years servicing has been done by myself, but I have a mountain of reciepts showing genuine Volvo parts and 0w30 A5/B5 for every service.

Clutch, slave cylinder and DMF done in 2016.
Cambelt & water pump were done in 2016 too.
MOT'd in April - failed on brake flexis which were obviously replaced.
Good premium tyres all around.
Aftermarket Ipod / Iphone interface for music streaming - works with steering controls

Anyway, I'll add some pictures and hope she catches someones eye. Please note I obviously won't entertain offers.

Hi, if this hasn't gone I'll take it. My V70 T5 is currently off the road and I need an estate. Can't PM you yet as a new user.

Didn't think that would take long to sell. It's an absolute bargain.

Sure but you’re 3rd in line lol

I’m actually a bit emotional about parting with it!

Hi folks,

This V70 is available again if anyone's interested. Had to have a reshuffle of our fleet as the Volvo puts us just over the 3500kg car and caravan limit and I'm too lazy to do the additional licence! So it has been sitting on the drive for a couple of months surplus to requirements.

Don't really want to part with it but hopefully someone will get some use out of it as it's a brilliant car.

Updated photos here. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Xj1XZbYDAybyfQH27

The day before I put it on SORN we had a puncture on the M42 so it's got the spare on the nearside rear - I can go and get a new tyre for the buyer at cost if required.

There's a couple of minor scratches on the nearside front and rear corners, and a small shallow indentation in the driver's door - other than that the bodywork is fantastic for its age.

MOT is on extension to 3rd October 2020.

The battery is a bit hit and miss - having sat for a couple of weeks it won't start though I suspect given a good run it will be OK as long as not left standing too long. Either way I have a spare Bosch battery that's not been used which I'll throw in for nowt.

Interior is good, boot carpet has some thinning near the tailgate, may have been the previous owners' dog! No pets or smoking in our ownership.

I'm in Kenilworth near Warwick. Bring £600 and take it away!
