Dice and Vida 2014d For Sale

Hi cheshired5,
Ive got one of your supplied vida dice kits always worked well until now on a newer car!
I'm having a problem reading a 2005 xc70 d5. vida dice is plugged in and when reading the vehicle profile, it displays the vin, model year and engine but also comes up with a red window at the top left of the screen with "unable to get property '0' of undefined or null reference" got any clues?
I've done the update for the dice just in case. also the diagnostics tab is greyed out (all the other tabs are usable)
Clicking information tab only brings up the parts catalogue. there's no interrogation of the car modules at all...
Green firmware is flashing regularly
usb comm is solid yellow
Bluetooth isn't doing anything
interface is rapidly flashing orange.

Hi Colin.
In the first instance, try manually populating the rest of the vehicle details boxes ensuring the region/partner group is set to EUR/INT then click OK and see if that makes diagnostics become available.

It certainly doesn't sound like a Dice issue so avoid messing with the firmware or any Dice settings.

Thanks for that oh so simple remedy. it's been such a long time since I put another car on the vida I'd forgotten to fill the blanks in DUH...

I once again have good used Dell E6410 laptops as seen in the photo below and featured in my video here.
Turn them on, plug in the included Dice and you are reading your car within a few minutes.

All laptops have 14" screens and are running genuine and activated Windows 10 Pro with Vida already installed and running fast and natively, not in a VM.

All have 4GB RAM and come fitted with a fast 120GB SSD too so they are all as fast as the quicker laptop on the right in the video.
