  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Default Now realised it's a bit gutless

A V70 2.4 auto n/a that is now I've got used to it, it's fine for dodling about but don't try and overtake when doing 60+. It will go yes but not what I expected and being an n/a can't be mapped so I am kind of screwed.

Has anyone else felt this if they have or had a 2.4 n/a.

I would think there is something wrong with it ...

which one , the 140 or 170 bhp ? I don't think i have ever driven a volvo that is gutless except for a 340 with 5 people in .. ( not gutless with just the driver )

I'm not wasting money like on it as it is mechanically sound. It's a heavy car so is probably the way it is.

Mine is only the 140bhp engine[but with a manual box]while I agree it doesn't have the urge of my [heavier-but more powerful]3L auto Omega or my 960 3L I've never found myself "embarrassed" by its performance,although you do have to realise its limitations-it's no sportscar after all.Does the kick down work properly?Does it have sport mode to hold the gears higher into the rev range?
