240 Torslanda wanted

Hi, I'm looking for a 240 Torslanda (may consider a different model), I obviuosly want to get as good a one as poss,

Essential criteria:
MOT
No rust

Desirable Criteria:
2.3 Engine
Tax
Service History
Alloy Wheels
Not a gizillion miles from Whitley Bay (North East)
Not intergalactic mileage
Great Condition
A secret hoard of of £20 notes under the back seat!

I have absolute maximum budget of £1000.

You should be able to find a gooden with your budget.

As for 2.3, I'm pretty sure that all Tors models were 2.0ltr............

Thanks Paul, not too keen on fleabay if the car is miles away, it would require a far degree of investment just to look at the car with no guarantee of actually getting it. Appreciate the thought though and it does look good. As an aside are all Torslandas 2.0??

Thanks, I'm currently speaking to someone who is selling a 93' Torslanda with a 2.3 continues injection engine, presumably that means it's been changed. Are their any pitfalls to this?

I know what you mean about fleabay, although that one does look good as you say.

The Tors listed is not IMO a Tors, unless the wheels have been changed from lovely Scorpius alloys to steelies with GL trims, all the stripes & the Torslanda badge on the tailgate removed too! lol.

Once again thanks Paul, I've actually spoken to the person selling the Tors and said, as you say, it didn't look like a Torslanda, however he assures me that it is. the mileage is also difficult to establish as there's little or no history with the car. Due to travel distance and price I decided to leave it. I'm finding it quite difficult to locate the right car, someone advertised a nice one in Harrogate for £500 on this site however loads of people told him it was too cheap so he's now put the price up to £800. Maybe I'm a bit too huffy but on principal I won't pay that. LOL.
