MVR where did you buy your kit???
I got them off eBay I think I payed £40 for them. The ballast boxes were the same of a previous kit what lasted years. I just can't find the link for them now
Is yours a phase 1 or 2?

Phase 1 mate, £40 seems to be the right sort of price for these kits!

Hi

Just check if your headlamps have inscription on the glass with the letters DC or DCR if I'm not mistaken.

Regards

Interesting, but I'm not going to change to HIDs as my partner would blind some other road user. This comment in the Fleabay page sounds odd:

The bixenon duel beam bulb wobbles around a bit.The beam will shake a bit. Please don't worry.

Sounds broken before it's installed!

I'm sure that you would have something to say if I was heading towards you on a dark country lane with my lights all up in your face because I didn't care which bulbs I used !! I know I wouldn't be very chuffed

you need H4-3 setup for converting from H4 halogens. H4-3 units use a magnet to move the burner between Hi and Low beam.

Dont bother with kits that have a Xenon burner and then a halogen for main beam (H4-2), the pattern is terrible and unusable as the bulbs dont sit in the correct place.

Also Bi-xenons dont come in "R" format, reason for this is they have a big reflector/baffle unit as the burner holder, sadly this only works with headlamps that use the glass to create the beam pattern, cars that use a clear lens and then a reflector for beam pattern cant use H4 kits as the beam just scatters with no definable beam.

So the search shifts to a H4-3 setup!! Just need to decide on the K factor I guess.
