i found the front bumper not bad job to remove. you will need ramps and give the 4 big nuts a coat of releasing oil to soak it basically slides off easy cant remember if there are small bolts on the bumper return bits now long time since i swopped mine ! |

It's just the four at the front and then it slides off.

I can relate, I wont have it as bad as you but still a complete change requirement in every way in a very short time frame never the less. I work in IT for a chain of 20 or so schools - on aggregate (staff and students) our IT systems support well in excess of 10,000 people. It's gone from almost exclusively managing on premise services to everyone needing to work remotely!
Keep up the good work.

https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=290481 There's a photo of it in the engine bay somewhere in my project thread above. Dave will be the man to ask about condensation/water in the fuel tank. Quote:

However, Toolstation are out of stock at the moment, have been for a while now. It reappeared in stock last week so i ordered some for one of mine and couldn't understand why it was shown as on hold. Sent an email and got the reply it was out of stock so i responed that i'd waited untl it was in stock to order it. Their reply was basically there were a lot of back-logged orders for it so i'd already been beaten to it - they put it a bit more sweetly though! Thing is, if you've got half a tank of juice, even 2L wouldn't be very effective. As a temporary measure, park facing downhill. That way all the water will run to the front of the tank leaving the back of the tank with petrol so should start easier. Hopefully you can get hold of some meths somewhere but wait until you get down to about 1/4 tank total contents then add 2L of meths. That should get rid of the water. What petrol did you put in?

It sure is an ideal time to get jobs done that there wouldn't otherwise be time for! Not so much for me, i'm a Biomedical Scientist and whilst I don't work directly for the NHS, the private company I work for supplies patholgy services to the NHS and have labs in two of the local hospitals, so i'm slightly more busy at work than normal. It will be worse next week as we start in-house testing for COVID-19, it's taken a little whie to get our in-house gubbins verified and validated and we've been sending the samples off to an external specialist lab. We haven't quite got haz-mat suits, but there are loads of extra measures in place!
It does make me cross how some of the public think that social distancing doesn't apply to them when most of us are making extra efforts, as you've all probably heard it's not necessarily yourself you need to worry about, but the other people you encounter that may be vulnerable. I'm 30 and in good health, so if I do contract the virus I am likely to be ok, however members of my family, neighbours and friends of ours that dog sit for us fall within the at-risk groups, so we've had to be very careful in how we interact. Gloves and antimicrobial (specifically anti-viral) wipes all around. Apologies! Rant over It would be great to have some time off to get Hearse jobs done, that Penta engine is still awaiting some love too. Alas, even when I am off there is studying to do - I am counting the weeks down to mid-May when I should be done with studying for this year and can move forward with life. Any other NHS or otherwise key workers on here?
