Default 1997 V40 1.8L for sale. MOT'ed till 12th Feb 2019

Bought this 7 years ago as a 'temporary' car. Found it was such a great littler runner I kept it. However, time to move on. So, if you want a cheap dependable car, or second vehicle, you could do a lot worse than consider this one. Only time it's ever 'let me down' was when the gear shifter snapped off! But I replaced it (£5) and it's been faultless since then. Over the years I've changed the usual things. Tyres, battery, wipers, oil, etc. But no big problems ever happened. It's been all long trips (Scotland, Wales, Devon) and I never worried about getting there or back.

Showing it's age a bit, cosmetically. Bodywork has some scratches, and rust has set in on the left rear passenger door and wheel arch.
Interior is in good shape. Fabric seats with no tears or rips. Original floor mats, with no holes.
All electrics work (except the rear window heater). Heated front seats, heater, door mirrors, front windows, power outlet, stereo, headlight wipers, etc are all fine.

Bad points. Rear window heater, as mentioned above. Rear brake discs and pads could do with changing. I can do that before sale for a small fee (and parts costs).

Not much else to add really. It's a Volvo. I call it "the car that just won't die".

Not interested in parting out.

£500 firm.

Bump.

Off to the scrappers if not sold soon.

Rear brakes and disks have been replaced, and new front tyres.
