Default 2011 s60 d3 help

Hey guys I’m in a bit of a jam, any help or advice most welcome on Friday evening after push start the engine just spluttered and died couple of rattling sounds thrown in to the mix. After waiting a few seconds tried again it started much the same but stayed on then nursed it 2 miles Home as if it was in limp mode with the warning ‘engine system urgent service required’ whilst driving home another warning appeared ‘soot filter full’ so the following morning I had a mechanic put who put it on the code reader but it showed no errors and the soot filter message had disappeared. He now reckons I’ve put petrol in the car but I had done nearly 50 miles before running into any bother. Any ideas?

I did that recently. 1/2 a tank of petrol on 1/2 tank of diesel, same symptoms. Ran for about 10 miles (while the fuels mixed?) then started what felt like a misfire. When I turned off the engine it wouldn't restart. Sinking feeling...…

Smell the fuel filler tube. Petrol has a distinctively different smell which you would notice. So it may be possible. I filled up at my usual station, on my usual pump. They had just reopened after a refurb and had made all the pumps Shell Nitro...….including the petrol! Just grabbed the Nitro hose and filled away!

Wasn't terminal but by God it was expensive!
