Is the car using oil? It could be something like a breather tube clogged up meaning there is a higher pressure under the cover forcing oil down the valve stems into the engine which is then burning off?

Hi mate. If your turbo blew there will still be lots oil in your intercooler and associated pipework. This will pass through the engine and any unburned oil will get out where it can. You can either remove IC to drain and flush as well as all the pipework or just wait until all the excess oil burns itself off.

Oil return pipe seals ??, they can spray a mist of oil onto the manifold and that will smoke in the engine bay, you will also leak slightly. Its an easy fix with cheap parts from volvo.

To check for excess crankcase pressure, remove dipstick. If you have lots of smoke coming out high pressure your PCV will need a service or changing.

To clean your IC and associated pipework you will need to remove it although it may be enough just to clean the pipes. I know the IC will prob be a pain to remove. How badly did the turbo go? Was there plumes of smoke?
