Volvo 440 1.7t fitting onto Renault Clio RSi 1.8 Engine
Hi, i am new. Ive come here to find out some information about fitting a Volvo 440 Turbo to a Clio RSi Engine.
Im not sure if you are aware but the 1.8 RSi engine is the same as the Volvo 440 1.7t engine. Now what parts from this engine would i need to make my RSi a 1.8t ? Here is a picture of my car and engine Any help appreciated. Thanks |

you would need complete engine and loom cause injection system would be wrong as would compression ratio due to your engine being n/a#
thats the same engine as 18 na 440 you've got |

Inbetween Volvo's...

Maybe need a Clutch (bigger 215mm ?) and a Turbo gearbox (M59?). Wouldn't it just be easier to lift the engine out and drop the 440 Turbo lump in? I know a few people running R5's with the Volvo 400 series engine, Clio's too... And from memory, looking under their bonnet, it's just the Volvo engine.

one of my friend put an 1721 turbo on r5 gtt, and now, with a stand alone engine management, a t3 turbine, and 450cc injectors, he achieved 226 hp..... and he want more...
p.s. now he need alo a LSD for better traction |
