Door Vibration
The door card has an annoying vibration when listening to music.
Searching the internet I've seen that there is supposedly Volvo prescribed solution to this which is basically Volvo putting in a thicker door anti-vibration "sponge". However I'm struggling to find any specific part numbers of this particular "sponge". Was wondering if anyone out there has experienced this same rattle and what you did to solve it. I've yet to take the door card off to see if any of the speakers are loose and need tightening, was waiting for slightly better weather before attempting it. If it is as i suspect a case of padding it out is there any other non-brand stuff that could be used to pad the sound? The vibration is just so annoying. Also before you ask, I've adjusted the bass levels on the audio system and don't listen to it on max volume. |

Hi, I had the same problem with my 98 V70. I purchased a couple of pieces of 3 inch thick cushion sponge from a local market and filled around the edges of the speaker. Vibration cured.

Thanks for the suggestion. Had the door cards off today and popped in a bit of foam on the area I felt had the most vibration. Seems to have cured it to a massive percentage. Still rumbles a little on max volume but then again I'd probably expect that nor do I play it that loud anyway.
