Default 1996 (N) 850 T5 Manual - head gasket needs attention

For sale is my 1996 Volvo T5 850

Must go as I can't spend the time on fettling at the moment. Runs but has a head gasket problem. See below.

The car that redefined Volvo and still makes the scenery move past in a blur!

Additional Photos & Bidding Here It's available on eBay so get bidding & bag a bargain!
  • Lots of space!
  • Part leather
  • 5 speed Manual
  • Tow hitch
  • MOT to June 2010
  • Tax to end May 2010
  • Recently serviced (151000 miles). Standard service plus/including oil change, new plugs, new rotor arm, new distributor cap
  • Paint scuff to front o/s bumper by previous owner
  • Some wear to drivers seat leather
  • Lovely, luxurious yet powerful drive
  • Free ZZ Top CD!! (It came with the car when I bought it!)

Please note:

The head gasket needs attention. I today spotted some oil emulsion in the header tank so please be aware that you'll need to deal with this. I immediately had the car recovered home so it's not run more than a mile or two like that.
  • Car still runs (but with a suspect head gasket, I would not recommend you thrash it or take it far)
  • There's plenty of cheap car transport companies on ebay that will arrange to bring the car to you if you prefer.
  • There's still plenty of oil in the engine.
  • Temperature gauge was still normal at this time.
  • No sign of emulsion in the oil, just the header tank.

With a little work this car will be in fine form again. Alternatively, it's a great project or source of spares.

It's available on ebay, so bid away!
