Finally had a bit of time in the workshop, Nick helped out putting the suspension back in and cleaning the workshop, with the wheels back on I could roll the car forward to take the tailgate off. I welded in new top corner sections of the replacement tailgate frame as they were rusty, drilled and filed in new drain slots along the bottom. I'm away again for work tomorrow but when I'm back I'll finish the tailgate and put the new skin I made on. I also a new top tailgate to strip and paint to complete the job.

Old thread resurrection. Bit of an update, got her back on the road and going nicely, stripped under the car and painted etc and started to see things not fixed properly. Anyway I’ve taken her off the road to do a proper renovation myself. Here are a load of pics, I’ve done more but this is a good indication of how she was bodged and what I’ve done.
I’ve spent the last few months doing a extension at my workshop, currently prepping my caravan for spray painting and will then be back on the Amazon with the aim to finish the body next year.
