Clutch mandrel
Has anyone got one of these tools? Either to loan/buy or let me know the dimensions and I can get one turned up.
Many thanks

Just undo the 3 bolts which hold the input shaft into the bell housing and use that

I have in the past used a bit of scrap plumbing pipe wrapped in electrical tape to achieve the right size. Anything will do for alignement

Yeah 340 I used the clutch shaft, any large bolt wrapped up in the right amount of tape does. You can even do it visually if you can get your head in.
For 360 you can just put the cover plate and friction disk onto the drive shaft sticking out of the bell housing. The friction disk then holds it on the release bearing until you get it married up with the engine, then align the clutch cover studs and bolt up using the inspection window. Note you won't be able to get the bell housing all the way on until the clutch is bolted down. The alignment is just to allow you assemble it. |
