Smile Spotify question

Hi 👋

I’m new to the Volvo owners club and picking up my car on Friday - can’t wait! I’m so impatient.

I bought a ‘64 plate XC60 R-Design Lux Nav with Polestar upgrade.

I didn’t get a chance to play with too many of the gadgets but the test drive was great. I read a review online about it connects to Spotify. Is that true?

I plan on paying for the yearly subscription to Volvo on-call

Anything else I should be aware of on this car would be great.

Thanks,
Adam

Default connecting

hi, i have spotify on my phone, you just connect your phone to the car and locate USB on the dial on the car and it should sync

PS if you get your service through the main dealer then you get a software upgrade and volvo on call included in the overall cost of the service

As above, its not built in unless you get a 2018 XC60.

Mine is a MY16 and it streams Spotify through Bluetooth to the car (no wires), displays track information and you can go back and forwards through the chosen playlist with the steering wheel arrows.

Awesome. Thank you both
That’s fine by me. If it was fully built in it was just a bonus.

Guess I’ll have to save for a 2018 😏

Both are pretty much as good as each other. I did find apple music to have a great sound.

if your car has Volvo On Call then you will have an extra data sim slot in the glovebox should you wish to get a data sim.

Your phone should connect automatically so I would wait until you get the car before deciding if you want (def dont need) the extra data sim. Your Data Sim in the car will also likely still be 3g mobile not 4g.

Still make sure you activate On Call though, well worth it for the safety features/remote locking/app etc (may depend on model year and engine)
