It's still sort of on-topic, still about dead bodies at least!

I learnt about lawyers in court. Watching and listening to lawyers in court. Occasionally someone missed the point. Rarely someone put forward a point that their client probably insisted on, but the point harmed their case. Lawyers have trained and are diligent, they address the necessary points, and they can read a witness and lead the unwitting witness to disclose the whole truth like what how they should... Pssst. I can tell some true life tales about lawyers who have c*cked up in court .... but who among mankind has not c*cked up? Language Stephen.... . |

Some people are just born unconscious incompetents, the trouble is they spend time at academic establishments and get certificates pertaining to certain subjects and then enter that chosen profession.

I’m sure! What a small Volvoworld it is! My silver 740 saloon is a bit more anonymous than your Corpsemobile, but as far as i know it’s the only one in the area, so I’m sure we’ll spy each other around! If you ever need to do anything on the wagon that requires an extra pair of hands, give me a shout-always happy to help out a fellow 740 pilot!

Thanks for the offer of help, may well take you up on it at some point! I'll keep an eye out for a silver 740.

Yes, it does so you can drop the fluid if you want to rather than use a pipe down the dipstick tube as Dave has suggested. Be careful as the plug is quite small and I seem to remember it sits in a recess in the sump pan. |

I'm not normally a fan of using the extraction pumps but on this occasion, i think it does a better job than the drain plug. Conversely on my other beast, the drain plug is right at the very bottom of the extension housing on the box (FWD and it has an extension housing! ) so i can get all the dirt out with the fluid. As such i wouldn't use the pump on that except to remove excess fluid if i accidentally overfilled it.

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...ice-asc&page=1 Production of the S/V90 technically ended in February 98 but this hearse is on a V-plate which means it had to have been registered September 99 onwards. This one is wrongly listed as a 960 - it would have been a 90 at that age and the centre console proves it. Move to the new naming format was for 97 model year - but an easy mistake for the uninitiated as none of the full stretch conversions carried any model badge. |
