Well, the deed is done, the upgrade is complete.

Initial impressions (after a very short 20 mile return) was that it immediately felt much more responsive on pickup leaving TMS.....then flooring it on the M69 slip road showed much more urgent acceleration.
Hard to be scientific, especially on such a tiny run.....I would say it doesn't feel "Jekell & Hyde" different (like the Honda vtec engines are!), but it did feel like a noticeable change for the better

mpg to the garage (earlier, cold start etc) showed 36.4 on the computer.....by the return, it showed an average over 39, so I am hopeful the promise of "no worse" mpg could prove true as well

Got a long weekend on the Isle of Wight coming up, so a better chance to properly assess it, but I suspect the 14-day return option will *not* be taken!

Thanks for all the input on this thread which finally helped persuade me

Had my polestar for a few weeks now. It does feel a better car as a result. I have also noticed that at lower speeds it does seem to change gear at odd moments....

During general driving you don't really notice but the change come when you accelerate...and the extra power makes a difference.

You also notice it in particular when you have the Adaptive Cruise Control on and the car in front moves away.....you sometimes have to intervene manually...or turn the target speed down...

All in all I'm happy with it...and it's paid for now.....and no difference to MPG as far as I can tell..

Had my upgrade this week. Car feels different, more responsive at all speeds but between 60-80mph is very responsive. Very pleased with result and fully can justify cost.

Have to say I agree - blast down to the IOW yesterday, nice boost when needed yet for the first time the trip computer actually indicating 44mpg (with my heavy foot ;-) - obviously will check that when we fill up later: we filled up after half a tank since the P*, & it showed me over 750 miles to empty!

Feels like I got a new Volvo for just over £600 - happy with that for a couple more years at least

Mike - are you using Shell VPower ?

If not, might be worth giving that a try ?

Like you I'm happy with my Polestar upgrade.
Do you just use unleaded or super unleaded?

I use super unleaded, usually V Power. My fuel consumption has gone down since Polestar which is also pleasing.

I'm the same, but not any Shell garages near me so generally have to use Esso ultimate. I'm averaging 29 mpg, I must say I'm finding the computer read out quite accurate, as it compares quite closely with the miles/top up.
I'm hoping mpg might improve, but I fairly happy with what I'm getting at the moment. I would only expect 34/35mpg from a diesel.

Yep, I am 29.5 average, with some longer journeys around 31 which I am happy with after 800 miles.

I got my polestar pack sent to me by my dealer and do have a shiny new badge...but not sure I'm going to bother putting it on...

It says you can register your upgrade on the Polestar website only I couldn't find the link so the kind people at Polestar have emailed it to me...in case anyone else is struggling to find it.
