Default Dog guard / net for rear door

Will be viewing houses around Norfolk during the coming weeks and we will need to take our dogs. Would like to be able to park up and open the rear hatch to prevent them getting hot but am struggling to find any sort or guard / net to prevent them jumping out.

The dog cages are not space efficient and rattle which drives me nuts. I can do it with an elastic cargo net I guess.....but anyone have anything better?

Just to reiterate, thus is not the normal guard behind the rear seats, it's to block the rear hatch aperture

Thank you

If you need it quickly then Volvo do a dog gate but you have to buy other bits to make it work and it is expensive. If you can wait and order then try Lintran

We have a volvo metal plastic coated fold down dog guard in our xc60 but this wont stop the dogs from hopping out of an open door only into the rear seats. We get round the noisey cage rattle by using an old duvet under the cages on the cargo floor. I also use plastic tape on the pull across catches and the sections of the cages so that moving bits and bits that make contact with each other that rattle are not in contact. It drops the rattles down to non existent. The dogs are a lot happier as well. Other than that its a rangerover with a split tailgate!

Thanks, the tailgate wouldn't stop the fox terrier!

A friend has a Barjo mesh to do what you need try ringing them & explain what you need.

Not cheap but does the job, we had their guards on several vehicles always fitted well & good quality.

I got the Volvo load compartment divider and Volvo dog gate from VolvoParts.com, they were very helpful. Easy to install they are a quality product which I transferred from a MY2010 XC70 to MY2016 XC70 easily. The gate looks similar to the XC60 one and the divider is adjustable for the length of the boot and rake of the door.
