Parts didn't get in til nxt day, fuse put in, no sudden nasty sounds or smoke-- phew ! A/con put on it was cooler than it was but not as it should be-- big sigh felt deflated. So next step is qualified mechanic friend of mine said he would take a look but has limited diagnostics. So just got to wait til he's free to have a look. Boo hoo just want the darned thing to work!!!

THAT'S IT!!! I'm well and truly p! $$€d off, fed up want to burst into tears but am holding it back--- for now.
Have been to Kwik fit today, checked system etc found no error codes but they also said that "compressor with clutch" not kicking in/coming on at all". So no charge- thank you.
But where do I go now??? New compressor with clutch, new receiver drier, new a/c belt, new 80a fuse all professionally fitted, checked for diagnose trouble codes on board---- nothing showing. So cannot understand why it's not working.
Can anyone tell me where I should look for wiring from compressor, and where it should be connected to, to give it power. Or anyone got any ideas.

Hip hip hooray, my a/c is now working. My car has just been bought back by my mechanic freind who asked a technician to have a look. Apparently he went straight to the 10a a/c fuse and found it blown-- £30 please. Now I obviously need to go to an opticians and get my eyes tested, as I must have checked the fuses 3-4 times. So I'm very happy that it's working but felt so embarrassed when my freind told what had caused the problem. :-#
