Yup, I have a MY14 V60 with that and I noticed it a long time ago, amazed it was designed like that given the rest of the car looks great, must be at odds with pedestrian safety to be exposed like that as well?

More annoying to me is how badly my passenger blade smears everything.

Perhaps this is an artefact of the car being primarily designed for left hand drive markets so the wipers are the "wrong" way round when the car is then built for us because it's not a mirror image.

Default Noticed it a couple weeks ago.

My Canadian, left-hand drive XC60 has the same thing, only reversed. The smaller wiper stocks up on the right side.

I was thinking of asking the dealership if they could adjust it to be lower.

It doesn’t make sense to have the wiper causing drag when the larger wiper is neatly tucked under the edge of the bonnet.

I've managed to correct mine, or at least improve it to some extent.

I bought an 19 inch blade to replace the standard 20 inch one and adjusted the arm so that it sits lower on the screen.

It's still visable above the bonnet edge but not from inside the car.

If it still annoys me I'll try an 18 inch blade and maybe get the newer screen trim with the scooped out area.

Mine has an especially bad case of this, it comes up an inch above the black part at the bottom of the screen - I'd forgotten about it but now remember how much it annoys me!
