Default Door top chrome

Evening.

Can someone please tell me how the chrome pieces which fit the 4 door cars are attached? For clarification I mean the flat chrome strips that sit on the horizontal surfaces at the bottom of the windows, not the thin strips that are on the vertical surface. My 2 door doesn't have any, and I might make some if I can work out how to attach them. Maybe some of the earlier 2 door cars had them?

Thanks,

Dave

Default Bits and pieces...

All the 4 doors have them and they're stainless steel. I'd advise removing drop window and quarter window then gently pushing up the edge towards the inner side of the door. These trims are on strong spring clips and even if you can get them off without dismantling the door you'll need to anyway in order to refit them. In my opinion the instructions in the manual only result in scratched paint and swearing.
