I had the AC recharged about 2 months ago and was find until this really hot weather. When the temp knobs are turned to the fully cold position, the drivers side is blowing cold but not ice cold air, not enough to cool the cabin, and the passenger side is blowing warm air.
The clutch on the compressor is working fine. Thanks Ian

Have you checked for DTCs? Specifically, an internal failure of the AQS (Air Quality Sensor) can upset the LIN bus and one of the symptoms is loss of temperature control to the passenger side. If you can't read the DTCs easily you could just temporarily remove the AQS and that will clear the fault, if indeed the AQS is the cause.

Ive had aircon problems and the symptoms in some part where the same as described.

When gassed, it blew cold in all vents... a week or more later... warmer from one vent than the other,, and not as cold as when just gassed,

It appears that an escape of gas lowers the pressure enough to cause an imbalance of temperature between vents but still operates. I had it sealed by an aircon expert, but eventually the condenser blew. It was under warranty so it was replaced and works fine now. I would suspect, if its not the AQS as stated, a loss of refrigerant is the cause.

As an aside, have you tried balancing the dampers via VIDA.. just in case ?
