After looking at the low coolant light for 2 years on 1998 v70 t5, today i got into the very simple system and got the sensor working and saved $26 on the replacement. disconnect the sensor from the wire harness, remove the sensor with small flat screwdriver, then its possible to turn the reservoir sideways. 1st i used a light to determine that the magnetic float was still floating, then i rubbed the sensor (magnetic reed switch) with a magnet that opened the switch from it stuck position.(only after reassembling and the dash light immediately going off was i able to confirm that ) Less than 10 minutes. That is a trick I've used on similar bicycle speedometer sensors that sit all winter and don't work in the spring.
