Default engine number recognition

your vin/chassis number will reveal exactly which engine is fitted.
below is how to read your vin number, and the relavant information.

Default which engine

Lift the bonnet and just behind the timing belt casing on the right hand side of the engine as you look at it you will see it engraved on the engine block just under the cylinder head. You may have to give the block a wipe first to see it

John, just leave the type blank, I can fill it in when I get your form, provided the full 17 digit VIN is quoted.

All the best, Peter.
