The 780 received a full detail...

Although its also posted in the Showroom section of my "Volvo 780", I thought it would be nice for members to see how a 22 year old girl can look after a bit of work.

Right, link below with about 100 or so pictures for the work done. I have included some here.

All Credit goes to James & Mike of Autofinesse in Ware for work and pictures in this post.

If anyone would like to have their car being treated the same way I could not recommend James enough. He has now done 3 cars for me and will be coming over on a regular basis to keep the old girl in pristine condition for years to come.

The had the car for a week. According to James's write up, they spent 76 man hours on her!

Thanks! I am stunned by the craftmanship on the exterior. When the car arrived at James' he could not believe the state of the interior and how a car can look so good inside after 22 years. He did not have to do much more than a hoover and to clean & feed the leather.

Thanks. I would think not as it stands behind (locked and well secured) 6ft doors and the original Volvo Alarm still works.... :-)

I can just add that on the way home yesterday, I stopped at a traffic light. A van went from behind me to the inside lane and pulled down his window. Then his the head come out and talked to me.... wow, never seen one before, what is it etc etc. Nice with a bit of attention.

Just read this thread on DW. Fantastic work on such a beautiful and rare car. The interior is like a gentlemens club (not that sort!!!), all leather and wood. Sheer luxury.

Fantastic finish aswell. For amateur detailer like myself, posts like this just inspire us to try harder on every car.

You must be absolutley delighted with the end result!
