Just to update this - FRF delivered very promptly.

Brace fitted - a simple job.

The drive is markedly better.

Once the car turns in and settles, it stays settled - it doesn't change pitch as much for no reason mid-corner and is far more predictable.

Money well spent - this now handles as I would expect (i.e. predictable, but not brilliant )

Have you considered a rear tow bar just to finish it off as that will act a brace for the rear?

I have considered it, but it will have to wait until funds allow - TBH the handling is now "acceptable" as it is, although I have no doubt that he tow bar will help considerably.

Default What's a "tow bar"?

I've heard the best thing for this is a towbar - a couple of other members have had one fitted, and say it makes a massive difference. As soon as funds are available I'll be investing myself

The strut brace at the front will make a fair difference, but the rear really does need doing too
What's a "tow bar" in this context? Do you actually mean installing a trailer hitch setup (which would seem odd, but I suppose might add stiffness), or an actual suspension component that I might know by another name? Are we running into the old "England and the US, two nations divided by a common language" problem again? :-)

Hi Scoobey,

Yes mate, it the language thing. I’m from Chicago, but have lived in the U.K. for 21+ years. The Towbar here is called a Hitch back home. I’m sure Valley “Think it was them we used to tow our boat around” make 1. Try and get 1 with the removable ball bit, so you don’t bang your shins going round the back lol

I have the strut brace on my C70 but interested in fitting a tow bar to improve the handling. I didn't know about this.
