Thumbs down v70 xenon headlight fault

Hi
i've a 03 plate v70 t5 se, with factory fitted bi-xenon headlights, problem is drivers side is out, replaced with new d2r bulb and still does not light.
anyone know anything about the xenon circuit, ie is there a seperate fuse, is the ballast easy to remove/fault find.

i'm thinking of removing the front bumper and headlights, and swapping bits back and forth to find the faulty part, but i'd be gutted if it turned out to be a fuse/relay after doing all that.

no intention of putting into volvo dealership as one mortgage is enough.

thanks in advance joe.

Change over the starter and bulb to check they are ok , if so it could be the ballast located on the bottom of the light unit.
