Turbo wastegate actuator
2004 V70 AWD R.
How do you remove the actuator? I can see two 12mm?? bolts on the can end, but at the thimble end the pin that attaches the actuator to the wastegate arm appears to be peined over. Does the rod unscrew from the thimble leaving the wastegate arm and thimble end attached to each other by the pin??. As you can see my locknut and thimble are badly corroded and stuck. Does anyone know at what pressure the actuator rod begins to move to open the wastegate. - I have read, on different sights its 4.4psi and also 0.6bar (8.8bar) - I have checked my own car and the rod began to move at approx. 6psi. this is the later style actuator, the values for the k24 turbo are different the the TD04 - about 6 psi is right
I set mine on the K24 T5 to the 4.5psi and it was crap On my TD04 t5 4.5psi was fine
