Hi, may not help that much but before my present S60 D5 I had the C70 GT T5 ( Bl**dy quick ) anyway I had the same rattle can't remember exactly what it was but took it into the local Volvo dealer and they straight away knew what the problem was even without looking at it.

Exhaust heat shields, maybe? Easy tack-weld fix, if so.

Do they have heat sheilds around the manifold and turbo? If it's a tinny metallic rattle chances are it's some kind of heat sheild slightly loose somewhere.

Hi.
Is it a 'tinkly' type rattle? If it is, then I had the same on my C70 not long after I got it. Turned out it was the rear brake drums (integral with the rear discs) had some loose components in them. Dealer sorted it out easily. Hope that helps. Dan. |
