Default S60 2.4T air-con compressor problem

Hi,
I'm a new member to your forums.
Have been having problems with climate control which I note is similar to those experienced by some members with 850 models, i.e. cool for maybe five minutes then cuts out; turn off and leave a few minutes, turn back on and then cool for a further five minutes or so before cutting out again.

850 model owners have cured the problen by adjusting the compressor clutch air gap.

Can anyone advise if it is possible to adjust the clutch air gap on the S60 compressor as can be done on the 850?

I had the system re-charged, initially thinking this to be the problem. When this failed, I had a diagnostic check done which resulted in passenger compartment temperature sensor/high pressure switch and climate panel fan motor replacement, testing and supposedly working properly - but I found this not to be the case.

Having advised the Volvo dealership concerned that all is still not well, they have advised that they can do a pressure check but it is 99% likely that the compressor will require replacement. The bill for the diagnostic/replacement parts was somewhat considerable and I'm not looking forward to an even larger one, hence my question on clutch air gap.

My S60, a recent acquisition is an 01 model with 90K and full Vovo SH.

Many thanks (in anticipation)
