Default Autogear Lever button swap

well as the auto button on the v70 was getting old and sticking i thought i would invest in a repair button for the old girl here is how to fithte new button

1. Release the Gearlever gator buy turning it 1/4 turn left
2. put car into L

3. pull Upwards Sharply make sure if you have a sunroof you dont smash it
4 . Release the old push button by using a small screw driver to push the shifter gear knob button

5.) Take out the secure pin from the old push button

6).Release the spring by using the needle –nose pliers.

7).Pull the old push button out and ready for replacement.
2. How to install a new push button
1). Put the new push button in the lower pin position.

2). Insert pin into the push button upper hole. The pin must go through U-shape from the bracket (see diagram 5)

3). Use needle –nose pliers to clamp the spring and move the spring on the pin (see diagram 6)

4). Push new button back to normal position.

this will stop the problem of where the key wont come out of the ignition on the 1999/2000 models and 2005 for the C70 and feels a lot better then the cracked button

its the same button for the 850 and v70 if you wanted to swap it for the nice feel
