Default Poor accleration on kick down

I have a V70 2008 D5 185bhp new shape, which is used as an emergency vehicle.

The problem im having is on kick down, there is no power.

Its been back numerous times and the dealers cant solve problem.

Is it a common fault or am i on my own.

Default Sluggish performance - Volvo update

I had the same problem with an S80. I thought it was a bit sluggish but "going alright" until I had an engine management update done just over a week ago by my local Volvo dealer. I don't know what they did but the improvement in acceleration at 60 - 70 MPH is amazing. The car is just a lot sharper to drive and I would appear to be getting approx 2-3 miles per gallon more.
I would suggest you ask your dealer for a VIDA inspection. This reviews, and where necessary, updates you engine management system.
I hope this is of some help.

As per BS - get Volvo to read the codes/errors and apply the latest software.

Default kickdown problem

I have a 2005 v70 and have had trouble with kickdown. when accelerating after kickdown the gearbopx misses a gear and I have to take my foot off the accelerator to allow it to pick up the gear again.
