1997 850 Sales - Dog Guard & Load Cover
Black load cover, recently repaired so retracts / pulls out. Needs a it of a push to engage in the surrounds but once in is solid - a rework of the repair would sort that if you need to take it in and out a lot.
Genuine Volvo dog guard, with adjusters and bodywork fittings and gas struts - struts probably need replacement if you need to keep it in the up position (although a bungee cord has worked perfectly for two years!). Located near Salisbury, Wiltshire, or happy to organise a courier. Reasonable offers on either please. |

Sorry to hijack thread, I have one of these steel fold up dog guards. I think the gas struts will need replaced on mine. Do you know where I could get replacements, or where these could be regassed?

Volvo still sell them as a part about £23 each I think maybe more. Skamdisc in Germany do them for around £15 each which is much better, same product AFAIK

I've bought new gas struts for the dog guard from Volvo Lincoln for about 12 quid ex vat. Part number 9481274. Rufe may be able to do it cheaper but then there's postage to consider with that option.
