One of the buyers is bound to let the seller down. Send him a message and find out!

You remember how I got my Limo then?
The buyer with no feedback didn't turn up.Or did he run away as it was worse than described.Hence why I got it so cheap.
Seriously my dear wife just said "well you never listened to me before so I thought you would have got it".

It doesn't make it any better that I had knowwhere to keep it,well unless I got rid of a few of my others very quickly. And no way of transporting it.Apparently they ALL had to be gone very quickly. What a picture 8 new owners all trying to drag thier cars out of the lockup.Especially as all the brakes will have rusted up by now.Tow trucks everywhere.Still a gallon of fresh petrol and I bet the 264's would run long enough to get on a trailor at least Lol.Just bang the 1800's and rollsroyce out the way.Ha Ha
Regards Brian.
Off to contact the seller,,,,YOU NEVER KNOW.

From a nostalgic point of view I found these cars very interesting, and I guess the fact that there were 3 of them for sale at once added to the impact. The reality is that, unless you're a large family or a business, a limo isn't as practical as a saloon.

Having said that, I'd love to see these being used and looked after. Hope someone on here bought them! If so please give them a wash, and then post up some piccies!!!

Do we have any 200 series limos represented here by the way?

Kind regards
Lucien.

Hi Lucien if there are any 240 limo owners then they keep themselves very well hidden.
I would love to know a bit more about these cars as they are just so rare in this country.
If ever you get chance to drive a 740/940 Limo then grab the chance as it's really nice.Maybe you will get chance one day if our paths cross to drive mine.

I would go everywhere in mine but holding back as I have the few issues with the roof and rear window to sort out.
Might go shopping this weekend in it though.

Regards Brian.

Hi again Lucien I just got round to looking at the link to the sales brochure you so kindly posted up.
So A 2.3L redblock would be fine in the 264TE as it's liter that mine 2180Kg Mine being 2250Kg?
I have the non turbo B23FB with the ZF four speed with overdrive. It copes very well fully laden as the gears change as and when it needs to.More for every situation.
Length is almost the same only millimetres in it.
264TE=5.6M
940SE=5670M or 5770m depending which brochure you read.

Regards Brian.

4am is a bit early for me and I was not able to see the end results.
I have a link that shows that 1 of them went for £1379 (alot cheaper than I expected).
How much did the other 2 go for?

==== minesa-- the 1800 is ceased up rock solid on all the brakes.

another nice thing about the limos was the rooflining-- it has the same
perforated imitation leather rooflining as the 262c bertone used to have

Has anyone seen a 240 estate limo in the flesh? I have seen a picture in a magazine, but thats it. One of those would be simply breathtaking! Imagine the lengths of wood from B&Q you could fit in... you'd probably get a telegraph pole inside!
