Sat Nav/Phone: Sensus Navigation map upgrade - how to check the maps

We have the connected 2014 sensus navigation in our 2016 V40, and I last updated the maps last year around September. There seems to be a more recent update (November) however does anyone know if there is a way to view the maps prior to download to see if certain roads have been added? Currently there is a road not on the satnav (been there for years, 40+ in fact) in the new forest that we use quite often and I want to see if it’s in there.

Don't think so but maybe if you put up the details of the road in question then someone who has updated could check it for you??

I can't help directly as I haven't upoated the wifes V40 yet. Takes about 12 hours to download here !!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was the same when we last updated our V40. I just left the usb in there so whenever the car was used it updated it.

Good point though, anyone got the latest map update and can check if the road off the a31 from picket post through to Burley is on their map? Whenever we go their (quite often) the satnav never picks up this road. When we are on it, it looks like we are off-roading.

If I seriously need help from a satnav then I use Google Maps on the phone. It seems to know lots of roads that the Volvo system doesn't.

I am not in car until later today, but I have had a look on HERE MAP on my laptop. Volvo maps are currently using here maps for the 2014 sensus as far as I know. There is a minor road shown from the A31 services to burley, I assume that is he road you refer to. If so then here maps appear to have updated it so, upgrading your maps in the vehicle would appear to solve your issue.
