Default TRACS pressure switch location?

Hi guys.

Had my T-5R for about 18 months. TRACS has never worked - as soon as I turn the switch on, the warning light on the dash lights up. ABS has always worked fine.

Last week I cleared a lot of A3 ABS codes and went for a short drive to try and isolate the problem. Drove for a bit, switched TRACS on, warning light came on. Got home, and there was only one code - TRACS Pressure Switch.

Tried googling this but have found nothing. Think it must be seperate to the ABS pressure switch as ny ABS has always worked fine.

Any ideas how I can sort this??

Thanks folks!

There is pressure switch located on master brake cylinder, item 7/58 in the circuit diagram. If it is activated all time, indicating that braking is ongoing, TRACS will blocked. From natural reasons TRACS must not be activated during braking. Remove the connector from the switch and by using a circuit tester while pushing the brake pedal see if the switch changes position. If not, replace the switch. Bleeding afterwards will be necessary.

There is a different ABS unit on a MY(modelyear) 95 compared to MY 96-98. On a MY 95 the TRACS pressure switch is integrated into the ABS hydraulic unit. Preblems can be related to corrosion in the connectors or within the hydraulic unit.

That's what I initially thought. But the only one I could find was the ABS Pressure Switch. Don't think this is malfunctioning as my ABS works fine...

You do know the TRACS is on automatically every time you start the car? Pressing the button once will turn it off which is confirmed by the dash light.
