Hi, I live in Selby North Yorkshire, to date I have yet to find a Local area club.
Is anyone interested in setting up a York and district club meet say once a month. If so I can be contacted on, persondavid22@aol.com or tel
07960210402.
There must be like minded people in this area, please contact me.
Kind regards David Pearson.

Hi David

I live in Selby too and I'd be interested.

Trick would be not to get too bogged down - better to have four meets per year that were really good, rather than one a month that ran out of things to do.

You might even get Chapmans, or perhaps Hutton Bros to host it!

The only hiccup for me is that I don't actually own a Volvo right now, however my Mrs does - a lovely old S70. But I am looking to rectify that within the near future, and get an older Volvo as a project. Nothing too far gone or too exotic, but perhaps an 850, S70 or C70 (coupe, not 'vert).

Did you get any other responses to your idea for a local club?

Cheers

Jack

Selby is clearly the place to be if you're into Volvo!

Is that the bypass bridge at Brayton Canal in the second photo?

Hi David

I live just north of York and I'd be very interested in getting a local group going. I have toyed with the idea myself for a while now, but at present don't really have the time to commit to taking the lead, but I'd be very willing to assist and participate!

Am on good terms with both Ray Chapman and Hutton Bros...

David

Count me in, I'm just South of Doncaster. I recognise the bridge as well, I've delivered fuel up there.
